By accessing or using the TaxWise application (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

These terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and premium subscribers. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any modifications.

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Promptly update your account information if it changes
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. TaxWise reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

TaxWise provides AI-powered tax classification and filing assistance for personal income tax in Nigeria. The Service includes:

• Bank statement parsing and transaction extraction
• AI-powered transaction classification
• Tax calculation based on PITA (Personal Income Tax Act)
• Filing export in various formats
• AI tax assistant for guidance

The Service is provided for informational and assistance purposes only. TaxWise does not provide professional tax advice, and you should consult a qualified tax professional for complex tax situations.

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described therein.

Key points:

• Bank statements are processed securely and encrypted at rest
• We never sell or share your financial data with third parties
• You may delete your data at any time through your account settings
• AI classification is performed in secure, isolated environments

TaxWise offers free and paid subscription tiers. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to:

• Pay all fees associated with your selected plan
• Subscriptions are billed annually and renew automatically
• You may cancel your subscription at any time — access continues until the end of the billing period
• Refunds are available within 14 days of initial purchase if the Service has not been substantially used
• Prices may change with 30 days advance notice

TaxWise is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that AI classifications are 100% accurate. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all tax calculations before filing.

In no event shall TaxWise Technologies Ltd. be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to penalties from tax authorities due to incorrect filings.

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon account deletion, all your data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
